Your Review of The Tool:

I started working remotely/ traveling abroad this year and signed for a few virtual mailbox services in order to keep receiving my US mail.

However, I found the user experience of some of these existing services was lacking, so I decided to code my own virtual mailbox service. For example, one service has “check cashing” but there’s no simple button to push in order to cash your checks, you need to email the virtual mailbox service in order to ask them to cash your check, it’s an inane waste of time.

With Akano, you can deposit your checks in a couple of clicks :)

What are the “pros” & benefits?:

• Akano has features that other services lack, a modern clean
• Akano has probably the best user experience/ user interface of any virtual mailbox service on the internet.

What are the “cons” & issues?:

• Akano is currently has a mobile responsive web app (so it looks good on both your laptop and desktop).
• It has not native mobile apps for iOS and Android but Akano is working on it.
• I also want to add other “cool” features like AI-powered spam detection (although with a virtual mailbox you receive little spam mail in the first place, so I’ll need to determine how useful this feature would even be).
