Coworking in Barcelona: Flexible Options for Digital Nomads & Remote Work

Here at Remoters, we love coworking. Your mileage may vary, but we think coworking offers good value for remoter productivity. We also love Barcelona, and so do nomads. This Spanish city ranks at number two on Nomad List and there is no shortage of coworking spaces in Barcelona.

So how do you choose? Décor, location, theme, and amenities may help sway you, but for remoters, flexibility is key. Coworking spaces often cater to locals and remoters that plan to be in the location for a longer period of time, with monthly memberships, application processes, and even deposits—which don’t always suit location independent remoters on the go. Here’s a round up of great coworking spaces in Barcelona well suited to digital nomad remoters:

1. CoCo Coffice

Open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and located steps from Poble Sec metro, CoCo Coffice offers all the amenities of a traditional coworking space, without any of the committment. It’s €4 for the first hour, and €3 euros every hour after. Coffee, tea, and snacks are included with that price. A €30 euro pass gives you 10 hours to use as you see fit, without the extra daily charge for the first hour. CoCo Coffice also has full-day passes for just €15, as well as weekly and monthly passes. No advanced sign up required—simply leave your name at the desk when you arrive and pay when you leave. If you stay longer than 4 hours, you pay the day rate.  There are also extra beverages and snacks available for purchase.

2. RavalCo

With a €15 +VAT euro day pass and €59 +VAT weekly pass, are good options if you’re just passing through town. The half-day monthly membership at €89 +VAT is a great option for nomads who like to spend quality time each day exploring the city. This coworking space has been described as no-frills, but it still has amenities like lockers for rent and an espresso machine in the kitchen. RavalCo is open from 9 a.m to 7 p.m.

3. Valkiria Hub Space

In addition to part-time monthly membership options and a €20 +VAT day pass, Valkiria Hub also offers a well-priced 5-day pass. For €50 +VAT digital nomads can get 5 days in a given month, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This open-plan, industrial chic coworking space is near the Llacuna metro station—it’s just few blocks from the beach and just a short walk to the centre of Barcelona.

4. Felisa

Perfect if you need a few weeks of productive work. Day passes (€20 +VAT) and week passes (€75 +VAT) include coffee and tea and access from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to typical coworking amenities, this coworking space also has massage available! Located a few blocks from Verdaguer metro.

5. MOB

It’s a coworking space and a maker space with 3D printers and laser cutters—there’s even a food lab at the MOB&PAU space. But, more importantly, MOB also has several membership options, which make it perfect for remoters spending a short time in Barcelona. Nomads can purchase a day pass for €20 +VAT, or a pick up a €100 +VAT 10-day flex pass that includes use of the mailing address—these passes provide access Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monthly memberships offer 24/7 access and include all-day and half-day options. MOB Main is steps from Arc de Triomf metro, and the MOB & Pau is near Sant Antoni Metro.

6. Unnatural Space

Unnatural Space has some of the lowest rates for coworking in Barcelona, but still offers all the typical amenities such as kitchen, chill space, events, and mail service. The basic day pass is just €9, tax included, but the monthly hot desk membership, is just €60—tax included!—which makes Unnatural Space a very affordable flexible option for nomads. Events and mail service are even included in the monthly membership. Located near Sant Pau | Dos de Maig metro station, Unnatural Space is open from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
