We are looking for an entrepreneurial Account Manager to help our business continue to scale profitably.  Our new colleague will work closely with our Head of Vendor Relations to service existing accounts, as well as prospect and onboard new customers.

Buying B2B software is very challenging. There are hundreds of vendors for any given use case and lots of misinformation online!

Beyond the challenge, this is so much at stake. Many of these tools cost thousands of dollars per month. Further, if you buy the wrong tool it can do a lot of damage to your company and career.

We started SSR to provide unbiased, in depth research to help companies understand what software they should buy. We do this through in depth, unbiased reviews of business software which we post to our site. 

We are very similar to NerdWallet/WireCutter, but for the HR Tech niche.

We’ve grown over 100% each year, and are looking for a talented Account Manger to help us continue on this trajectory!

We are a remote only, international team of 10. We are a profitable, bootstrapped business that believes in growing through increased customer adoption and prudent capital allocation versus hyperscaling with venture capital dollars.

As our new Account Manger you will: 

  • Answer customer questions about setting up campaigns, billing, etc
  • Prospect new accounts through email and social media
  • Onboard new customers by showing them our product and answering their questions
  • Support our Head of Vendor Relations with administrative tasks
  • Scrape lists and automate outreach sequences with Apollo
  • Record and update data on HubSpot CRM daily

The Ideal candidate:

  • You have 2-5 years of sales or account management experience
  • You are extremely organized and detail oriented with the ability to work across multiple projects at once
  • You want to work in a startup environment that requires wearing many hats
  • You want to take on bigger challenges in your career at an accelerated pace
  • You appreciate the flexibility of remote work and it’s hard to see working any other way
  • You enjoy working with a diverse team from around the world, bonus points for knowledge of HR software or other business software tools
  • Positive, persuasive communicator
