Audio Recording Project Task | Homebased in Norway at Appen

Become a Data Collector!

We are looking for people in Norway to read and record short prompts using the app Appen mobile.

In this project, the App collects speech data to train and develop artificial intelligence algorithms that will be used to improve speech recognition technologies.

Project Description:
The assignment contains a total of 1,000 short sentences that you must read on a screen and record using the Appen Mobile app. You only need to follow the sentences written in, you do not need to make up your own sentences.
– Example of a sentence you will read: “Okay Alexa, I need directions to work”

Task Duration:
Each sentence will take an average of 3 to 6 seconds. In total, you must plan 5 hours for the 1000 recordings. Of course we recommend you take breaks and we will give you at least 7 days to record your session.
Required Condition:
-Have a newer smartphone devices
-Must be Norwegian or English as a mother tongue and reside in Norway
-Able to record in a very quiet indoor environment, free from background noise
