Digital Olympus is a relationship-based link-building agency that currently includes a team of 30+ full-time employees and multiple contractors across the world. Digital Olympus was founded by Alex Tachalova, who established a solid personal brand while working at Semrush and then as a freelance digital marketing expert. Alex is a frequent speaker at conferences and regularly contributes to SEJ, Moz, HubSpot, and similar blogs.

Job Description:

The winning candidate will be working with other link-building specialists of Digital Olympus, managing them and ensuring that the campaigns are being delivered on time and are up to DO standards. Among the most important skills that our link-building team leader should have are the ability to build, maintain, and advance meaningful relationships with our partners, as well as the ability to successfully manage and communicate with team members. Previous link-building and team management experience is preferred.

Task and responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of link builders.
  • Responsible for team’s KPIs and monthly progress.
  • Help other team members set their individual KPIs.
  • Dig out the issues with the team’s performance and propose solutions to the management.
  • Find new link-building partners and establish meaningful relationships with them. (This process includes the link prospecting stage as well as qualifying potential new link partners.)
  • Build links in accordance with DO guidelines and the requirements that we get from clients.
  • Set up weekly/monthly reports to showcase the number of links built during a particular time frame.
  • Use the Pitchbox tool to add link prospects and ensure that they do not overlap with other team members.
  • Ensure that all links are planned for clients.
  • Ensure that all link-building campaigns are delivered for clients in a timely manner.
  • Make general recruitment and selection decisions for the link-building team (i.e. identify the team’s need to expand; assess potential candidates for job fit etc.).
  • Educate newly hired employees.
  • Analyze the current performance of link-building campaigns and identify areas of improvement.


  • Fluent in business English.
  • 5+ years of experience in link building/email outreach.
  • Significant experience in team/people management. Must have managed a team of link builders/Off-page SEO Specialists.
  • Must have worked with clients from different niches of the industry such as B2B, B2C.
  • Ready to craft personalized email pitches and focus on bringing value to partners rather than taking advantage of them.
  • Able to find a relevant place on partners’ blogs to link back to link-building targets; if necessary, add text to fit the desired link into the context of a post in a natural way.
  • Creative thinker ready to find non-traditional ways of reaching out to new partners and persuading them to work with us.
  • Must be detail-oriented and ready to deep dive to figure out the problems and then propose solutions to fix them to improve the team’s productivity.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently and make required decisions on their own.
  • Willing to travel for onsite team meetings.
