  MoxieDot is looking for a US-based social media strategist and content creator for a part-time position, with the potential to go full-time in the next 6-18 months.

We have been growing rapidly and are looking for someone who can help us:

  • Create social media content for clients
  • Monitor client social media accounts and review sites
  • Write bi-weekly blog posts for MoxieDot and StoryShout on topics of their choice
  • Run data reports for SEO and social media clients
  • Do research projects as needed (e.g. “Create a competitor analysis report for jewelers in the KC Metro Area”)
  • Participate in social media and marketing strategy creation for new and existing clients
  • Put out fires and help with project management
  • Communicate with clients as needed, to turn in content, reports, or answer questions
  • Cover for team members when on vacation or sick
While we mainly need help with social media now, the person could also be helping with SEO as needed.

The “dream” candidate will:

  • Love social media and all things digital marketing
  • Know the basics of SEO
  • Be obsessed with meeting deadlines (or communicating when things come up)
  • Love sharing ideas, even if it’s out of their job description
  • Have a tendency to over-communicate and over-deliver, even when no one else is
  • Not be satisfied with the status quo
  • Love learning and being part of a hard-working team that knows the importance of work-life balance
  • Be so trustworthy, you could leave the Hope Diamond in their possession and know it’s 100% safe

  • Must be US-based and willing to be available 8am-5pm central time (doesn’t mean you have to be at your computer or work ONLY those hours, but Skype/Slack is on your phone for any questions)
  • Must have 1-5 years of experience in social media OR digital marketing
  • Must be a fluent English speaker
  • Be available for a weekly meeting
  • Must be comfortable talking to clients
  • Independent contractor (a 1099 employee)
  • SEO, Facebook advertising, and HTML experience a plus

  • Work with an industry insider (for some sweet gossip and referrals)
  • Get paid tools and online training or conference passes, as needed
  • Work from home flex-time (as long as you get your work done, we don’t care when you work!)
  • Unlimited vacation (within reason)

Starting salary: $10-15/hour, DOE, up to 15 hours per week, with the chance to go full-time
