Role Overview

Reporting to the Lead Digital Strategist, the Sales Development Representative is responsible for helping the agency’s clients meet their demand generation target by following up on inbound marketing leads, maturing them through to opportunities and leveraging Social Selling to build a qualified pipeline of leads.

Role Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on inbound marketing leads using phone and email to convert them into qualified opportunities. Own the responsibility for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales teams. Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with a field sales rep
  • Drive attendance to customer webinars and live seminars, set meetings for conferences as part of demand generation activities.
  • Leverage Social Selling using LinkedIn Sales Navigator to engage with high value prospects identified by marketing teams. Convert prospects into leads and qualify them into opportunities.
  • Engage in outbound demand generation activities to generate leads for agency’s clients. Work with marketing to leverage supporting lead nurturing streams.
  • Manage an active pipeline of leads for each campaign. Accurately report and forecast on number of leads and opportunities expected to be generated.
  • Meet or exceed assigned targets on number of leads / opportunities per campaign, conversion rates and number of active engagements.

The Ideal Candidate

Sales Development Reps are the driving force behind converting inbound marketing leads into opportunities for our customers. They have a passion for technology, helping customers leverage technology to solve business challenges and a “can-do” attitude critical to meeting and exceeding quotas on tight deadlines.

  • Passion for and experience with technology : Have a track record in a sales or marketing role for technologies such as Cloud Compute, Data and Analytics, AI, CRM, ERP, etc.
  • Proven track record demonstrating strong articulation of a product selling points via phone and email. Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent listening skills are a must.
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible marketing, inside sales or business development related sales experience (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of SDR and lead development best practices and procedures. Ability to handle objections and turn “No’s” into “Yes’s”
  • Proven ability to perform successfully given low oversight and limited process
  • Experience with remote SDR infrastructure is a must (e.g. maintaining CRM data in platforms such as and remote calling infrastructure).
  • Work Style: Experience with remote work or freelancing is important. Should be a self starter and able to work independently. SDRs are required to work effectively with prospects across varied timezones. They are excellent at working in teams, building functional relationships and have a collaborative “can-do” attitude with a strong drive to succeed.
