Salary Range: Between 1,000 and 3,000 US$ per month
Job Published on: March 15th, 2021
Available to applicants based in Country(ies): United Kingdom (UK)
Important skills: An Eye For Presentation and Purpose, Experience in the role, SEO / PPC knowledge, Solid Copywriting Skills
Years of Experience: 2+
We are looking for a content strategist to come in and support our SEO and PPC teams with, funnily enough, content strategy and planning.
Creating briefs and content plans for our search marketing clients whilst improving content delivery and promotion across all teams.
We need you to be championing content marketing strategy across the company and clientbase as you understand how important it is for SEO and PPC success.
Working to guidelines on tone, style and voice of all client content, you will be responsible for ensuring content is consistent across all marketing channels whilst measuring and analysing successes and failures across content and blog strategy.
Experience in the role
With at least 2 years experience working as a digital content manager, web writer or content editor, you know what you are doing when it comes to web based words.
Solid Copywriting Skills
You have to have copywriting skills to know how to direct, plan, design and edit our clients’ content. You may not be writing on a daily basis but occasionally you will have to jump in and write, and you need to know what gets results.
An Eye For Presentation and Purpose
You already know that each content type has a different purpose for different audiences. You create content that’s both long- and short-form, with interesting headlines and stand-out images, no matter the format.
Previous Campaign Experience
It’s difficult to plan and strategise for a campaign if you have no execution skills.
You will have Content experience planning, delivering and executing alongside an understanding of post-campaign analysis..
Multitasking and Organizational Skills
Whilst many tasks will be completed alone, you are a key part of the teams that the role touches. You will have to manage many types of projects and people on a daily basis. You will be comfortable with managing time, external writers and editorial calendars.
An Editor’s Eye and Pen
You need sharp editing skills and are comfortable conducting content audits to determine what we should keep, edit or delete.
An Analytical Mind
Collecting data is easy. Knowing what to do with that data is something else. We are relying on you to tell us what content is working best on which channel.
Some SEO / PPC knowledge
You understand what we mean when we “want to try and steal the featured snippet” or we send you 5 seemingly random lines of text for the “dynamic search ads”.
Care about the company’s goals & understand the target audience
We expect you to learn as much as possible about the client’s goals and target audience.
Have amazing attention to detail
You should have an ability to see the big picture while also paying attention to the most minute details. We are relying on you to keep us on track without compromising quality.
Are Level-Headed Under Pressure
You will need to manage a number of strategic projects on tight deadlines. Keeping cool and still delivering is what we are looking for.
